Random Acts of Kindness

Random Acts of Kindness

It is exciting when we see the Fruits of the Spirit appear in our child’s life, but it is important to remember that this doesn’t happen automatically! Our children must be taught how to model these fruits in their lives. A great way to teach the Fruit of the Spirit is to make it a fun game! Here is a game that your family will love to play, but will also teach kindness at the same time.

Prep:

  1. Cut a piece of paper into strips and write different acts of kindness on each one. If you are short some ideas, click here to use some that we came up with!

2. Grab a jar and put it in a common place in your home, filling it with all the random acts of kindness.

Instructions:

We are all secret agents! Each member of the family must secretly grab a Random Act of Kindness some time in the next couple days. Then, you have to do what it tells you without telling anyone and without being noticed! Remember, being kind is a great thing even if no one knows about it. Then gather as a family and try to guess who did which Random Act of Kindness!

This is a great way to teach your kids what it means to be kind, and to remind them that it isn’t about being recognized for the good things we do. It’s about loving being and that’s it.
